Position: M&E Lead and Report Writing Specialist
Location: Andheri, Mumbai (Office/Field Based)
Mode: Work from Office
Notice Period: Immediate Joiner to Maximum 15 Days
Role Overview:
The M&E Lead and Report Writing Specialist will design and implement impact measurement frameworks while translating complex program outcomes and data into compelling, high-quality reports. This dual-role professional will lead impact assessments and drive narrative storytelling through data to effectively communicate program results to diverse audiences, including donors, policymakers, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning
Design and manage M&E systems, KPIs, and assessment tools to evaluate program effectiveness.
Oversee data collection processes including field surveys, interviews, and research initiatives.
Analyze data to extract key insights, trends, and actionable recommendations.
Provide data-driven feedback to improve program design and delivery.
Train internal teams on M&E methodologies and techniques for data-driven storytelling.
Report Writing & Documentation
Write and edit donor reports, impact reports, research papers, case studies, and policy briefs.
Ensure clarity, coherence, and accuracy across all written materials.
Maintain consistency in language, structure, and storytelling style.
Collaborate with design teams to develop infographics and visual storytelling assets.
Content Development & Storytelling
Craft engaging narratives that communicate program impact through field anecdotes, qualitative insights, and data-driven stories.
Develop blog articles, newsletters, and digital platform content.
Support fundraising and advocacy efforts with compelling impact stories.
Research & Stakeholder Engagement
Conduct desk research to support reporting, strategy, and program analysis.
Work closely with field teams, beneficiaries, and partners to gather qualitative insights.
Engage with donors and stakeholders to tailor reports and communications to their specific needs.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Journalism, Public Policy, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), impact reporting, research, or content development.
Skills:
Strong analytical, writing, and editing skills.
Ability to translate data and findings into human-centered, engaging narratives.
High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and presentation abilities.
Sound understanding of M&E frameworks (Theory of Change, Logical Framework, Results-Based Management).
Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to write and edit data-driven reports and convert complex information into accessible, compelling communication.
Language:
Excellent written and spoken English.
Proficiency in regional languages is an added advantage.
